Environmental Policy för Bergkvist-Växjö

Bergkvist-Växjö has PEFC chain of custody certification, no 1700365.

PEFC is the world's largest forest certification system. PEFC relies on the whole chain using the system - from forestry, via sawmill, to e.g. furniture manufacture. According to PEFC the company should have a system to ensure a sustainable forestry and contains requirement that the company has a "green management plan".

Bergkvist-Växjö does not accept timber from the following sources:

  • Illegal fellings
  • Areas defined as key habitats
  • Forests where prescriptive or civil rights are violated
  • Forests with genetic engineered trees
  • Natural forests that have been felled in order to use the area for plantations or non forest use


Bergkvist-Växjö are FSC® certified (FSC-C113702). The Forest Stewardship Council®, FSC, is an international organisation which promotes ecofriendly, socially responsible and economically viable use of the world’s forests. The requirements for FSC certified forest includes respect for the rights of indigenous peoples and that biologically valuable forest be managed in such a way that its natural value is preserved.
